Backwards!

Hey there, remember me? The other half of this blog? Lol! We've been busy here, just like Stacy, getting ready for the holidays. My goal is to try and have everything completed by next weekend. We'll see if that happens! :) I have a little hostess gift to share with you today. I made this for my super sweet sister, Jennie, who had us all over for Thanksgiving.

I started with three little votives and made a simple wrap out of some patterned paper and a a bit of ribbon. The I created an acrylic box to hold them in. I stuffed the box with crinkle paper around the candles and after securing the lid with some ribbon, I attached a little fall tag.
Here's a close up picture of the bottom of the box and you can see the little candle too. Well, we have cleaned the house and made a significant dent in the laundry so I'm off to lay the little one down for a nap and get some crafty things checked off my list! Have a great weekend!

End of Year Gift

Becky here today! Abie's last day of first grade was yesterday. She was so excited, wearing her new dress, fresh faced and ready to take on the world, as a second grader. I was devastated. I can't believe how fast she's growing up. This year she has done so well with her reading and writing. It amazes me that she's reading chapter books and writing her own stories. Since we were so proud of her, Mike thought it would be a good idea to get her a little gifty. He picked up some pearl stud earrings and I made this little box to put them in. I used my Bags, Tags, Boxes and More cartridge for my Expression and used the fit to page feature on a 12x12 size piece of orange cardstock. It cut the flower box at 8 3/4. After assembling the box, I trimmed the patterned paper and adhered it to the sides of the box. I then stamped the Learn stamp on white cardstock and attached it to a scallop circle cut out on navy cardstock with my nestabilities. I'm not sure what brand the patterned paper is but I know I got it at Archiver's and the stamp is from Autumn Leaves. Hope you have a great night!

Birthday Set

Happy Memorial Day !! Stacy here---I went to a 40th birthday party this weekend for my friend Anne. Anne is our wild friend and when I thought about making this bag and card, I had to put skulls on it somewhere !! The skulls are from a Halloween set I have-I dry embossed them on the background paper for the bag and made my own patterned paper. I embossed them again on the card to match. The 40 was cut out from my cricut and I used pop dots to add a little dimension. Thanks for looking !!

My Favorite Bag !!

Stacy here : ) I know we've all seen a million of these, but I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite templates !! It goes together so quick, you can personalize it and how many people get a gift in such a cute bag ?? The paper I used was Basic Grey, I embellished with a simple bow with a big button in the middle. Thanks for looking and have a great night !!

Summer Purse

Stacy here--hope everyone had a great weekend !! Today I'm posting this adorable little purse that I found on Splitcoast http://creativepad.typepad.com. I altered mine slightly by adding buttons to the front of the brads that hold the purse closed. I decided to put sunblock, lip gloss and a pair of sunglasses in it. Perfect for summer !! Enjoy !!

Spring Polish

Stacy here....well another rainy day and I was actually inspired today !! Today my little project is a miniature milk carton that holds 4 mini bottles of fingernail polish. I scaled down the holder to fit the polish (bought the little bottles at Wallyworld). Nothing gets me more excited about spring than all of the different polishes I like to experiment with on my toes !! Below is a front view:

Here is a side view:

This turned out so cute !! I made one for each of my girls and they loved them !! Have a good night and thanks for looking !!

Birthday Gift

Happy Saturday! It's been cloudy here today but warm and windy. We spent the morning sanding and glazing our kitchen island. It turned out great! I just love it when you picture a project in your head and it turns out just as you imagined! Not only did that happen with our island but also today's project. This is a little something I made for my sister's birthday, which was April 22nd. I took a 4x6 notepad and stamped her initial in the bottom right corner of all the pages with my Just Rite Monogram Stamper, in brown ink. Then I made a simple box for it, trimming it with chocolate brown cardstock pieces I punched with my Fiskar's Threading Water Punch. I lined the inside of the box with Bitty Dots Basics patterned paper from Papertrey Ink. I tied a brown and white polka dotted ribbon around the notepad and set it inside the box. To wrap it, I simply folded the box up with some tissue paper and tied some more brown and white polka dotted ribbon around it to secure it. I made a coordinating card, which I'll share next week, and tucked it inside the ribbon. Hope you have a great weekend, see you next week!

Here's a picture of the notepad and inside of the box.

And last, a side view of the notepad in the box.

Happy Monday !! I'm finally recovering from Easter.....I've successfully emptied every egg into the largest tupperware container I own and swept up a mile of easter grass ! My husband and I will be eating candy until Christmas ! I decided I was not going to touch anything pastel for a year---No luck !! The paper I used for this project was begging to be used. So, I decided to find a use for it and made this 3x3 note box for my sister (she loves purple !!). The template I used was given to me by my cousin that is a SU demonstrator. The paper is all HL, stamps are all SU and of course the cutest ever Martha butterfly punch. Below is a top and side view:

The cards measure 6x3, I used white parchment paper (I love the feel of writing on parchment). The stamp is SU and again the cute butterfly to tie it all together. Enjoy and have a great week !!
