Raspberry Suite #17

Hello there friends! Today's card is my submission for Dawn's Color Challenge. I'm always amazed at the color choices she picks out, they rock! I absolutely loved, the colors for this challenge and it totally inspired me to make a Christmas card.
I started with a Kraft colored base which measures 3 1/2 x 6 inches. Then I stamped one of the background images from Damask Designs using Aqua Mist ink. It was taking awhile to dry to I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next, I trimmed a piece of cream colored card stock and ran it through the Cuttlebug with my Victoria embossing folder, first time I've used it! Then I punched the edge of the cream piece prior to adhering it to my base. For my focal image, I stamped the large ornament from a set I picked up at Joann's by....(don't hate me, I can't remember and I threw away the packaging, Aaaaaahhhhh) I stamped the image in dark chocolate on Pure Poppy paper and heat embossed it with clear powder for a bit of shine. Then I added some Kaiser Kraft pearls to the swirls. I popped the image up on pop dots and added a piece of Rustic Twine at the top. For my sentiment, which came with the ornament stamp, I stamped Dark Chocolate on cream card stock, trimmed it in half and adhered it to the card base.

Here's a closer picture of the base of the card stock. I wasn't sure about the Aqua Mist on Kraft but I really like the way it turned out.
Hope you have a great night. I'm planning on staying in with the fam!
